The contest “Innovation Breakthrough - 2009” is held for the first time in this year. More than 100 application were received for only the first month. It should be said, that more than 250 persons visited presentation in Kiev. That shows a rather high level of event. Moreover, not everyone was able to visit presentation. Organizators of the contest receive a lot of calls and letters every day, quantity of applications is increased with every hour.

Vladimir Sirotin, honoured chairman of the supervised council of the charitable fund “Novaya Strana”, also the chairman of the contest committee “Innovation Breakthrough - 2009”, tells about more global aim of the contest:

"The main task is to decrease energo-capacity with the help of new technologies. At first, it’s concerned gas and oil. Ukraine wastes billions of dollars for energo-resources, and that’s why there is no opportunity to develop our economy. If we want to develop economy on a high level, we must use new technologies. Everyone realize, that strong and developed economy is a real independence.”

Organizators of “Innovation Breakthrough - 2009” believe that such type of contest will help Ukraine to create platform for development and implementation of innovation.
