24 August 2009 - Experts in IPR are will come to the seminar \

 

Sep 7-8th, 2009 Seminar "Principles of high-technology business" will be in Kyiv. This seminar will organize special for project-semifinalists of the contest. The aim is to educate developers about the management of innovation, how to work with investors and about  intellectual property rights for the successful implementation of innovative projects.
We invite two experts in IPR area from Boston, USA - Gennadiy Vinokur* and Mark Beloborodov** to take part in seminar  like speakers.
 
«In nowadays, Ukraine is take 4th place in the world for innovation potential. – comments of Anna Degtereva, first deputy director of the high technology and innovation centre, the organizer of the project. - Indeed, our engineers and scientists  have often unique innovations. However, about 95% of them are not ready to implement, because the lack of understanding of the  target markets. In that way we decide to organize such kind of seminar.  Participants of seminar are Contest's semifinalists. We believe that our Contest will help for Ukraine to take leading place in international innovation area. This is a one of the Contest goal.»
  
*Gennadiy Vinokur - partner of Alpha IP Group (Boston, USA), Gennadiy has extensive experience Intellectual property rights of enterprises at the USA, including start-up projects, multinationals companies which are present in Fortune 500 and so on, he is U.S. licensed patent attorney since 2003. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Theory of Computing Systems at the Boston University, in the past he developed software products in the field of financial transactions and he taught the programming languages in few Universities of USA. Currently he is studying at faculty of law in Suffolk University.
 
**Mark Beloborodov - Senior IP Counsel at Philips Intellectual Property & Standards (Boston, USA), Mark has over 10 years experience in area of legal protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in USA and other countries and in area of Strategic Development of Intellectual Properties. In past he worked lawyer in two largest Boston law firms, representing companies Adidas, Applied Materials, Agfa, Boston Scientific, e-Ink, and many others in the field of patent law. Currently he is one of the main specialists on legal issues related of intellectual property in the field of lighting systems in company Philips Electronics. He have got sjd at faculty of rights in Boston University, and technical education at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. Associate Professor of legal faculties at China leading universities - Fudan (Shanghai) and Renmin (Beijing).
